Jeri Alper is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. In this capacity, she has utilized her medical knowledge and expertise to: (i) screen, investigate, and analyze medical records; (ii) assist and develop deposition questions; (iii) research literature, standards, and guidelines relating to issues of standard of care, causation and damages; and (iv) identify appropriate medical experts. Ms. Alper has undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants. She has both hospital based clinical and administrative experience and has also worked for a major pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Ms. Alper has assisted attorneys in the analysis of medical issues in various types of cases including general negligence, medical malpractice and products liability cases. As a registered nurse and nurse practitioner, she has extensive experience in analyzing medical records and medical-legal issues. She is able to synthesize voluminous records and create reliable, easy to understand summaries for use at depositions, trial and during all aspects of a case.
Ms. Alper has lectured extensively and has written on topics relating to high risk obstetrics, infertility and child safety. Additionally, she has assisted in the development of professional presentations on diverse subject matter, such as diabetes, heart disease, hemodialysis, osteoporosis, breast cancer and cervical cancer.
